Dr. Farid is an associate professor at the Civil Engineering Department. He joined the faculty in Civil Engineering at Boise State as an assistant professor in spring 2008. He was an Associate Research Scientist, CenSSIS (Gordon Center for Subsurface Sensing and Imaging Systems), Northeastern University, Boston, MA. From 2001-2003 he was a Research Assistant, Civil & Environmental Engineering Dept., Northeastern University (CenSSIS), Boston, MA.


  • Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston in 2004.
  • B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Civil Engineering from Shiraz (formerly Pahlavi) University of Iran in 1993 and 1997, respectively.
