Kendra Noneman – Materials Science and Engineering

Image of Kendra Noneman, MSE StudentKendra Noneman, starting her freshman year in Materials Science and Engineering at Boise State, is also on the BSU track and field team. Her specialty/favorite is the hammer throw, but you may also see her compete in shot put and discus. Kendra loves to stay busy and get involved. In addition to traditional academics and athletics, she has already started an internship in the Computational Materials Lab on campus that works in conjunction with the National Science Foundation and the University of Illinois, where she is doing undergraduate research using national supercomputers. The project she is working on is titled “Self-assembly of small-molecule semiconductors” and the results of her work will be used to inform the design of organic solar cells. So, that light you see on late at night in the Materials Lab just might be Kendra.
