Dr. Sabick is the Director of the Intermountain Orthopaedics Biomechanics Research Laboratory and Deputy Director of the BSU Center for Orthopaedic and Biomechanics Research.  She has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering since arriving at Boise State University in 2002.  Dr. Sabick graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering with a specialty in Biomechanics from Case Western Reserve University. She then pursued graduate studies in biomechanics through the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Iowa. In 1997, Dr. Sabick completed her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering with a specialty in Biomechanics.   After receiving her Ph.D., Dr. Sabick was awarded an NRSA Post-Doctoral Fellowship to conduct research in the Orthopedic Biomechanics Laboratory at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.  Her research interests focus on orthopaedics and sports medicine, specifically the biomechanics of the upper extremity and knee in athletic competition.
