There have been major changes in the cost and registration process for the FE exam. If you are planning on taking the FE this Fall it’s very important that you follow these instructions. Contact Joe Guarino jguarino@boisestate.edu if you have questions.
Undergraduates:
- You must download the application form from the following Idaho State Board of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors website: http://www.ipels.idaho.gov/
- You must submit your completed application to the Dean’s office (ET 301) no later than Wednesday, August 26. The Dean’s office must certify that you are within two semesters of graduating with an engineering degree. The results of the Dean’s certification will be sent to your email address by Friday, August 28.
- After you are certified by the Dean, you must pay your exam fee and reserve a seat for the exam by September 4. The exam fee is $175.00 and it is not refundable; therefore, make sure that you are qualified to take the FE this Fall before paying your fee. Note that the Dean’s office certifies only that you are within two semesters of graduating – it’s up to you to make sure that you meet all the other requirements to take the FE exam.
Reserve your exam seat by going to: http://www.ncees.org and following the hyperlink for “Exam Registration.” Instructions for registering will be provided on the website.
