Graduate Research Assistantships
Graduate Opportunities in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering
The Department of Civil Engineering at the Boise State University (BSU) (http://coen.boisestate.edu/ce/home.asp) invites applicants for MS level graduate research assistant positions in the general area of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering. Our research focuses on soil characterization, subsurface sensing and imaging in order to detect anomalies in soil (e.g. tunnels, contaminated sites), monitoring air-sparging and modeling and real-time monitoring contaminant fate and transfer. For detailed information, contact Dr. Arvin Farid, Department of Civil Engineering, Boise State University, 1910 University Drive, Boise, ID 83725-2075; email: ArvinFarid@boisestate.edu; Phone: (208)426-4827: You may also visit the faculty home page for more information. http://coen.boisestate.edu/departments/faculty.asp?ID=138
Graduate Opportunities in Environmental Engineering
The Department of Civil Engineering at the Boise State University (BSU) (http://coen.boisestate.edu/ce/home.asp) invites applicants for MS level graduate research assistant positions in the general area of Environmental Engineering. Our research is focused in several areas including polymer selection and use of streaming current detectors to automate construction storm water site runoff treatment, and chemical determinations for effective and environmentally friendly concrete roadway sealers to retard cracking of concrete pavements and bridge decks. For detailed information, contact Dr. George Murgel, Department of Civil Engineering, Boise State University, 1910 University Drive, Boise, ID 83725-2075; email: gmurgel@boisestate.edu; Phone: (208)426-3788: You may also visit the faculty home page for more information. http://coen.boisestate.edu/departments/faculty.asp?ID=6
Graduate Opportunities in Hydrology and Water Resources
The Department of Civil Engineering at the Boise State University (BSU) (http://coen.boisestate.edu/ce/home.asp) invites applicants for MS level graduate research assistant positions in the general area of Land Surface Hydrology and Water Resources. Our research focuses on studying the relationship between hydrological processes and climate change in the vulnerable ecosystems, water and energy balance modeling using GIS and Remote Sensing techniques and water resources management. For detailed information, contact Dr. V. Sridhar, Department of Civil Engineering, Boise State University, 1910 University Drive, Boise, ID 83725-2075; email: vsridhar@boisestate.edu; Phone: (208)426-3710; You may also visit the faculty home page for more information. http://coen.boisestate.edu/departments/faculty.asp?ID=126
The Department of Civil Engineering at the Boise State University (BSU) (http://coen.boisestate.edu/ce/home.asp) invites applicants for MS level graduate research assistant positions in the general area of Vadose Zone Hydrology and Contaminant Transport. Research in these areas focus on studying the relationships between soil hydraulic properties and various hydrologic processes of interest, or validation of chemical sensors for detecting volatile organic compounds in unsaturated soils. For detailed information, contact Dr. M Gribb, Department of Civil Engineering, Boise State University, 1910 University Drive, Boise, ID 83725-2075; email: mgribb@boisestate.edu ; Phone: (208) 426-5707; You may also visit the faculty home page for more information, http://coen.boisestate.edu/departments/faculty.asp?ID=1
