The Department of Civil Engineering offers two distinct graduate degree programs.
The Master of Science in Civil Engineering (M.S. CE) is a thesis-based program that includes a research component and prepares students for future work in industry or doctoral studies
The Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering (M.Engr. CE) is a non-thesis program with a focus on professional development.
Areas of study include Environmental/Water Resources Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Transportation Engineering.
There is also an interdisciplinary
