Construction is one of the largest and most important industries in the world today. With modern technological advancements, construction is rapidly becoming one of the most difficult and complex businesses to manage. Graduates in Construction Management demand high salaries and find multiple job opportunities upon graduation.
It is essential that the construction industry is provided with effective managers who have a comprehensive knowledge of construction, business and engineering. The Construction Management Department at Boise State University is nationally recognized and is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education. There are currently 220 students enrolled in the CM program at BSU.
As a graduate of the Boise State Construction Management program, you receive the education you need to become a professional in today's vibrant construction industry.
The Department of Construction Management offers a Bachelor of Science in the field. In addition, the department also offers a minor in Construction Management at the undergraduate level.

BSU and U of I think green together – Boise State University and the University of Idaho have teamed up to offer sustainable, green building education to students in the spring 2009 semester. The class, called Introduction to Green Building, is a 30-hour course presented by Green Building Experienced Professionals on weekends throughout the semester. | more

CMA Students Win National Chapter Award
Standing before a crowd of professionals and peers last week, Boise State students Tyler Resnick, Jennifer Lanzetti, Anthony Guho and Ryan Tabuchi accepted the highest honor in the nation for student chapters of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).
Beating out second- and third- place winners Arizona State University and Nebraska’s Southeast Community College for the title of 2008 Outstanding Student Chapter, Boise State’s Construction Management Association (CMA) credits the win to community investment and hands-on experience.
Recent projects include construction of a massive greenhouse at Borah High School in Boise, construction of a pair of 96-square-foot sheds for Special Olympics Idaho, and a collection of crucial tools for students of a civil construction education program in Cape Verde, Africa.
“Student involvement and activity are important to our ongoing accreditation by the American Council for Construction Education, and the student chapter offers significant, extracurricular leadership learning experiences for the club officers and for the individual project managers and teams,” said Rebecca Mirsky, associate professor and chair of the construction management department within the College of Engineering.
