This is the local student chapter of the Association of General Contractors of America (AGC). This organization is dedicated to serving the needs of professional construction managers throughout the nation.

National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)
National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC)
The Construction Management Department’s Women in Contruction (WIC) group is an affiliate of the Idaho Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC). This mission of WIC is to:
Promote involvement of women in the construction management profession
Provide networking opportunities among construction professionals and CM students
Encourage professionalism among members

Sigma Lambda Chi (SLC)
Sigma Lambda Chi is the honorary society for construction Management majors. Boise State University’s chapter is the Mu IV Chapter in the International Organization. The fundamental purpose of Sigma Lambda Chi is to provide recognition to outstanding students in construction curricula.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Associated Schools of Construction Student Competition
BSU Construction Management students participate in the Associated Schools of Construction Region 6 & 7 student competition each February in Sparks, Nevada. The 2 day intensive competition provides student teams valuable ‘real world’ like experiences in developing and presenting project problems to practicing professionals. BSU competes in the areas of Commercial, Design-Build, Electrical, Heavy Civil, Marine, Multi-Family, and Determining Project Risk.
