     Seth Kuhlman is the Lab Manager for the BSU Center for Orthopaedic and Biomechanics Research. Seth graduated from BSU in 2005 with a a Bachelor of Science  in Mechanical Engineering. Following the degree Seth joined the COBR team as a graduate student working on a project studying the diagnostic techniques for SLAP lesion injuries. In 2007 he graduated with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and became the Lab Manager. He is presently working on quantifying the turf-shoe interaction on turf surfaces for the NFL.

   Dr. Sabick is the Director of the Intermountain Orthopaedics Biomechanics Research Laboratory and Co-director of the BSU Center for Orthopaedic and Biomechanics Research.  She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Biomedical Engineering.  Dr. Sabick graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering with a specialty in Biomechanics from Case Western Reserve University. She then pursued graduate studies in biomechanics through the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Iowa. In 1997, Dr. Sabick completed her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering with a specialty in Biomechanics.   After receiving her Ph.D., Dr. Sabick was awarded an NRSA Post-Doctoral Fellowship to conduct research in the Orthopedic Biomechanics Laboratory at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.  Her research interests focus on orthopaedics and sports medicine, specifically the biomechanics of the upper extremity and knee in athletic competition.

   Ronald P. Pfeiffer is a professor in the Department of Kinesiology.  He is also a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer and a Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Idaho.  For the past several years his research focus has been determining the etiologic factors contributing to non-contact injuries to the anterior cruciate ligament in female athletes.  He has conducted a number of studies aimed at learning more about landing strategies in both male and female subjects.  Dr. Pfeiffer has also conducted research using an MRI examining the effectiveness of the McConnell taping procedure for correcting misalignment of the human patellofemoral joint.  In addition, he continues to publish in the general field of care and prevention of sports injuries in pediatric & adolescent aged athletes.  He is presently completing revisions for the upcoming 4th edition of his college text, Concepts of Athletic Training, published by Jones & Bartlett publisher, Boston, MA.
