Welcome to the website of the Boise State University Center for Orthopaedic & Biomechanics Research (COBR).  The Center is a collaborative effort between the departments of mechanical engineering and kinesiology at Boise State, along with local clinicians with an interest in performing and supporting biomechanics research.

COBR was founded in June of 2003 to support research and promote collaboration in biomechanics and biomedical engineering.  The Center's investigators perform a wide variety of research projects and educational programs supporting the Center's mission.  Since that time, COBR has supported student and faculty research projects in a variety of research areas, as summarized in our Projects page.

COBR is composed of four laboratories, each with unique instrumentation and research focus. Links to the individual labs can be found by clicking the BSU COBR Labs link.

Please browse our site, and feel free to contact us with any comments or questions.
