Abstract: The upper echelon of “programmers” are not just programmers, they are abstract and creative thinkers who see things outside of the box. They are able to wear multiple hats, being a business analyst, consultant, or tester when warranted. In fact, some of the top programmers are not computer science majors. “Low code platforms” are making this possible. These platforms reduce the dependence on Java or other programming languages making it possible for a “programmer” to never see a line of code, opening the door to abstract and creative thinkers. We will help you think about new ways that you, as a computer science major, can prepare yourself to fill these roles.
