Daniella Morgos joined the Center of Environmental Sensing (CES) in January, 2008. As a research scientist, her responsibilities include experimental design and implementation to validate the performance of an ion mobility spectrometer—a contaminant probe which detects and identifies contaminants in the soil. Morgos is also responsible for installation and maintenance of field instrumentation, field collection of soil samples, and performing soil experimentation in the laboratory to determine soil hydraulic properties. She assists in teaching, community outreach in related fields, data analysis, interpretation, publication of research results and other duties related to meeting objectives for CES.
Morgos received her B.S. in Geology and M.S. in Hydrological Sciences at Boise State University in 2003 and 2006, respectively. She was formerly a hydrologist at the Idaho Department of Water Resources conducting basin hydrologic modeling and surveys in the Salmon River Basin.
