Melinda Seevers is Development Director for the College of Engineering. Prior to this position, she was the engineering co-op coordinator for the College, developing engineering internship opportunitites for undergraduate students. In her new role she will continue to build relationships and partnerships for the College and raise funds through private, corporate and foundation donations. She is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of prospective and major gift donors to the university.
Melinda earned a B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona. She has 17 years experience in the aerospace and aviation industry in the areas of research and development, safety, performance evaluation and cost efficiency. Prior to joining the College of Engineering in 2005, she was a consultant to the National Aviation Program for the USDA Forest Service. She is currently serving as the 2006-07 president of the Southwest Idaho Section of the Society of Women Engineers. During the past school year, she served as advisor to the Boise State SAE Aero Design West team.
