Three BSU students were honored this winter with Outstanding Junior Level Engineering Student Awards from the Idaho Society of Professional Engineers. Winners were selected from nominations submitted by faculty members in civil, mechanical and electrical engineering.

Nominees were chosen based on their grade points, class performance, participation in professional organizations and other campus activities. Representatives of ISPE based their final selection on personal interviews and other criteria.

Student winners and runners-up by discipline were:

• Civil engineering: Winner -- Molly Shearing, Runner up -- Kent Adamson
• Electrical Engineering: Winner -- Josh Rychert, Runner up -- Shaun Devine
• Mechanical Engineering: Winner -- Kimberly Tschepen, Runner up -- Dan Cameron
