GET INVOLVED

Maximize your time in grad school by getting involved! Whether you’re interested in learning to teach electrical and computer engineering topics to tomorrow’s engineers, designing the next amazing sensor network application, or investigating neural network interfaces, we have a place for you.

As a student in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, you are eligible to apply for a research assistantship, where you’ll get paid to work one-on-one with faculty in their research laboratories.  You can also apply for a departmental assistantship, which has a focus on teaching and service.  If a full-time commitment isn’t quite what you had in mind, you might also consider working as an hourly tutor, grader, or outreach liaison.

Whatever you’re interested in, these opportunities provide priceless experience and allow for the application of classroom education to real-world scenarios.  You’ll also earn professional experience that looks great on your resume or curriculum vitae.
