Dr. Khosrow Ebrahimi joined Boise State University as a lecturer in August 2017. Before moving to BSU, Khosrow was working as a Visiting Instructor at Rowan University and also Adjunct Professor at Villanova University. Dr. Ebrahimi obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University in 2012. Between 2012-16, he completed his postdoctoral research fellowship in the Center for Energy-Smart Electronic Systems at Villanova University.
Dr. Ebrahimi taught System Dynamics and Control I & II, Machine Design, and Thermal-Fluids Sciences in his previous position as instructor at Rowan University in AY 2016-17. He also instructed a graduate course on Computational Fluid Mechanics at Villanova University in spring semester of 2017. Khosrow’s teaching objective is developing effective strategies in teaching engineering in higher education. He has committed himself to continuously learn and practice the latest pedagogical techniques in higher education teaching. The qualities Dr. Ebrahimi considers of most importance in teaching, are organization, clear presentation of the materials, stimulating students’ interest and curiosity, and encouraging students’ involvement.
