ENGR 497-003 Special Topics
Dr. Tony Songer is teaching/managing the Global Perspectives in Engineering (ENGR 497-003) course next Fall. It’s an interdisciplinary effort that involves traveling to Bogota, Columbia the week before Fall semester (August 10-18). During the visit, students will be visiting Columbian engineering firms and identifying specific problems/projects for student teams to address upon returning to BSU.
They currently have two Columbian companies committed to participating: a data management/artificial intelligence company and a dairy/food processing company. Both have interesting problem areas for Mechanical Engineering. Topics for potential student projects include autonomous vehicles/service robots/voice recognition/drones/natural language processing/production-process management.
