We are looking for an undergraduate researcher at the Computational Materials Design (CMD) lab.
The primary focus of the CMD lab is developing models to understand and predict the performance of materials under different working conditions. In particular, for this position, we are interested in developing finite element models for 3D printing of metals. 3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing, is believed to have revolutionized the manufacturing industry and recently has gained huge interest both in academia and industry. We are looking for motivated, hardworking, and organized candidates. This is a modeling project so interest (background) in coding, finite element, solid mechanics, and heat transfer is a plus.
Please send your CV and transcript to Dr. Mamivand, firstname.lastname@example.org, by Sep 20. In your email briefly describe why you are interested and fit for this project.
