Apply for an Internship

Complete the application

Access the Internship Application for Academic Credit found on the University Career Center website.

  1. Go to the Internship Application for Academic Credit Form.
  2. Log in using your Boise State username and password.
  3. To create your application, hit the plus (+) sign next to Internship Application for Academic Credit on the left hand side of the page. Click on the option Create an Application
  4. Enter all required information (fields with * are required)
  5. Briefly describe your internship plan on the form.
    • Each student must develop a minimum of 3 learning objectives articulating the knowledge and skills that will be acquired by the end of the internship.
  6. When completed, hit the SUBMIT button.
  7. The internship coordinator reviews the internship application and designates the internship as either ME 293 (for lower division students only) or ME 493 (for upper division students only).
  8. The coordinator approves or disapproves the internship application which is then sent to the organization internship supervisor for approval.
  9. Your supervisor at your internship must approve your internship plan before we can proceed.
  10. After the internship is approved, the student is automatically enrolled in ME 493 or ME 293, as specified.

Complete the Online Orientation Workshop

Prior to beginning your internship, access the Internship Application for Academic Credit found on the University Career Center website.

  1. Log in using your Boise State username and password.
  2. On the left hand side you will see Internship Application for Academic Credit (+).
  3. Click on the + side.
  4. Click on view online orientation workshop (it’s a short YouTube video).
  5. After completion of viewing the orientation video you will be prompted to take a quiz.
  6. Complete 10 question quiz and submit. You may also print your quiz.
