Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager/Project Engineer

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for document control, project and client management on building sites, as well as interacting with upper management to ensure the highest quality of work and safety standards are achieved.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Control financial decision in the field
  • Ensure job site has the necessary tools, equipment/PPE, and training to complete projects safely and in accordance with DMS, OSHA and other applicable safety requirements
  • Ensure project flow is followed
  • Complete the project checklist, tracking the project through to closing
  • Provide controller/office with necessary documentation
  • Deal with change orders and design changes
  • Directly involved in setting schedule, including managing scheduling conflicts and setting schedules for foreman to meet
  • Works with foreman to solve any safety hazards
  • Ensure all projects have MSDS catalogs, site specific corporate safety plan, weld procedures and erection plans on site before the project starts

  • Willingness to travel
  • Must have working knowledge of construction principles and codes
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents
  • Ability to review and analyze cost reports
  • Ability to create and maintain a schedule
  • Computer skills – Excel, Word
  • Pass random drug testing
  • Educational or practical construction experience – 2 year minimum
