The College of Engineering at Boise State University has been selected as a partner to participate the Federal Aviation Administration Centers of Excellence (COEs). The COEs are partnerships formed between the universities throughout the country, the FAA, other government organizations and industry affiliates. The team members coordinate research and development (R&D) in areas of aviation technologies that are critical to the agency's mission and long-term vision.
Boise State participates in the COE for Airliner Cabin Environment Research (ACER). Other university partners include Auburn, Purdue, Harvard, Kansas State, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, University of California Berkeley, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
