Hydrophobicity Correlation Computer Code

Matlab M-files associated with classification of protein sequences into families based on correlations between sequence hyrophobicity measures and family hydrophobicity profiles.

HydroCorr.m A Matlab M-file to calculate the mean score and standard deviation of the scores of all the sequences in a family against a model of the same or different family.

MakeTemplates.m A Matlab M-file to generate a series of hydrophobicity profiles for a protein family from a training set of aligned sequences belonging to the family.

ProbMis.m A Matlab M-file to calculate the probability of misprediction. This program takes 10,000 samples from each of 20 distributions with different means and standard deviations. The distribution generating the maximum sample value in each of the 10,000 cases is determined and the fraction not coming from the specified true distribution is calculated.
