Control Systems Cybersecurity11/28/18, Wed, 10:30am-11:45am, RUCH (ENGR) 103The critical importance of electric power has gained increasing attention of governments, utilities and consumers.  Recent cyber intrusions and attacks on these systems have demonstrated the need for strong cybersecurity controls, processes, and procedures for control systems.   To understand the risk and appropriately apply cybersecurity to these systems one must consider a wide range of technology and innovation. Today we will discuss a simple approach to control system cybersecurity beginning with modeling control systems and how to apply cybersecurity without complicating the end devices and their primary function.
